The optional ones, meaning costs, parts consumption, labour, downtime attribution, are all useful and all easy to make mandatory too early, at which point recording becomes slow and stops happening. Equipment maintenance programs that capture the minimum reliably beat ones that capture everything sporadically, and machine maintenance history is only worth anything if it is complete.
